How to protect ourself from hot waves in summer.

Like every year the summer season has came and even at the beginning of the season the temrature has reached to its exteme and we are feeling very much uncomfortable. The scorching summer heat can be unbearable and pose a risk to our health. Hot waves can cause dehydration, heat exhaustion, and heatstroke, which can be life-threatening. It is essential to take precautions and protect ourselves from the hot waves during the summer season. Here are some tips to help and stay safe:

  1. Stay Hydrated: Drinking plenty of water is crucial during the summer season. We should drink water at regular intervals to keep yourself hydrated. We can also take coconut water, lemon water, and buttermilk to stay hydrated.

  2. Dress Appropriately: Wearing loose, light-colored clothes made of breathable fabrics like cotton and linen can help you stay cool and comfortable during the summer season. It is also essential to wear a hat or use an umbrella to protect ourself from direct sunlight.

  3. Avoid Peak Sun Hours: The sun's rays are most intense during midday, so it is best to avoid being outside during peak sun hours. If you need to be outside, try to stay in the shade as much as possible and use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 to protect your skin.

  4. Keep Home Cool: Ensure our home is well ventilated and keep the windows and doors closed during the hottest parts of the day to keep the heat out. Use fans or air conditioning to keep your home cool.
